July 26, 2018 at the Log Cabin Banquet and Meeting House, Holyoke, MA

The difference between a performer and an entertainer! Enjoy John’s beautiful piano styling, smooth baritone singing voice and humorous stories and banter. The 50’s wasn’t just the beginning of Rock ’n’ Roll (and John takes you through this), it was also the beginning of great new Black artists Ray Charles and Harry Belafonte, and what we used to call “Hillbilly Music,” now known as Country! It was the introduction of saga songs (“Big Bad John,” “Davy Crocket”), humorous songs, “Chipmunks Christmas,” “Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weeney,” funny parodies and much more!! Big John takes you through it all with the hits, stories and humor. Informing and entertaining!!
